who am I?
abrokenglass is a multidisciplinary art practice and creative platform founded by Siyandi Matthias, a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Rooted in storytelling, experimentation, and design thinking, abrokenglass explores the intersections of technology, environment, identity, and abstraction.
From bold digital illustrations to physical installations, sculptural furniture, and collaborative objects, the work resists singular definition—existing in multiple planes at once, much like the fragments of glass it’s named after. Every piece is a shard of a larger world: one that reflects, distorts, and refracts everyday life through color, line, and rhythm.
Drawing from a background in illustration, photography, music, painting, and graphic design, Siyandi uses Abrokenglass as both a personal archive and a public space to push creative boundaries—inviting viewers to engage with ideas that are multifaceted, analog(ous), and often satirical.
At its core, Abrokenglass is about making the invisible visible, making the abstract feel familiar, and creating a world where creativity isn’t just an art form—it’s a method for being.
